Harold and the Purple Crayon is my favorite book,
because it shows, in a simple yet elegant way, the promise and reach of the human imagination. Simply drawn and told, it had no problem grabbing my child attention as quickly as it caught mine. It remains a house favorite, and an essential part of any children's library and one of the places to start for parents wanting to build a home library.
Wow, that's cool. I didnt even know it was a book. I used to watch the show with my younger cousin. She loved that cartoon, and I have to admit I enjoyed watching it too. My children have never seen it or read it. But I'll make it my business today to go out and get a "Harold" book today, and see how they respond. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!
ReplyDeleteWho is the author? I don't believe I have ever read that book, but it sounds like a good one!
